On January 26-28, 2024, all Christians with artistic souls are invited to the rural tourism guesthouse "Gojaus atgaiva" in Kedainiai District, where the first international Songwriters’ Retreat will take place. During the three-day event, Graham Kendrick, one of the most famous contemporary Christian music composers from Great Britain, Carin and Peter van Essen, a missionary musician family from the Netherlands, and Lucy Grimble, a worship leader and songwriter from Great Britain, will share their experiences.
If you have been dreaming of writing songs but have not yet been able to release that dream, then make sure you come to the Songwriting Workshop. Perhaps, you have already written more than one song and you think you know it all, then this workshop is for you too, because there is always room for growth and development. Maybe you are a worship leader, you play piano, guitar, violin, flute, cello or percussion and you've always had a longing in your heart to try to create something original and distinctive and bring it to your community, city, country, or maybe even nations...? You are all very welcome, so don't hesitate to come and meet like-minded people and let's all "create a new song" together.
Singers, instrumentalists, and poets are invited to take part in the Songwriters' Retreat. All these skills are essential for the birth of a new song/hymn. Don't miss the opportunity to come and meet experienced and extremely inspiring guests from abroad whose hearts have been set on Lithuania and the creators living in our country by God.
We believe that in this three-day workshop you will not only learn a lot, but you will also have the opportunity to grow in the knowledge of God and find many wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ who, like you, have a desire to serve the living God with the talents given to them by the Lord and to reveal His glory on this earth!
Seminar fees include accommodation & 6 times meal:

Graham Kendrick (United Kingdom)
In 1972, a young and bearded singer songwriter released an album of songs that would mark the start of a journey that has now celebrated its 50th year.
Forty albums later Graham is probably best known as a modern day hymn writer, penning songs that have helped the church to worship. Graham's 2022 recording - The Where It Began EP - took Graham back to the days of narrative story telling, when coffee bars and folk clubs were his venue of choice and communicating the message of Jesus came through the 6 strings of his acoustic guitar and the crafted lyrics of his songs.
Graham continues to write and record successfully, collaborating with a younger generation of writers and performers, including Lucy Grimble. |
Graham Kendrick's most famous hymn “Shine Jesus Shine” (1988), is internationally acclaimed, has been translated into many languages around the world, and is often featured in the most popular church hymn lists.
